In a major flaw, a CBI officer has been mentioned as Additional District Magistrate (ADM) in the website. Chamba is one of the rural districts of India.
LK Sharma, the officer has been complaining for the same from last two years to amend the details but nothing has been done so far. He said that the kind of services are being delivered to the public by the administration in Chamba can be imagined that a request of a CBI official like him is not being considered.
“I have been receiving call as my number is being mentioned on the website. I am peeved over this and has raised the requests with Sudhesh Mokhta the sitting District commissioner but he is not acting at all” said LK Sharma, a CBI officer in Delhi. He said that he is acting as one of the six members of SIT (Special Investigation team) of CBI which is investigating irregularities done in private institutes of Himachal Pradesh.
Sharma is an official from Himachal Administrative services cadre and has joined CBI two years back in 2015. Jatin Kanwar, who is acting as an official in staff selection commission in Hamirpur district has been mentioned as Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Bharmour. Vijay Dhiman, who has been acting as sitting SDM in Sujanpur –Tira has been mentioned as a revenue official on the website. Dhiman has left Chamba district four years back.
Vishal Kumar, a social activist of the Chamba told that it has been the routine of the officials to show lackluster attitude towards public since the infighting is going on between sitting congress government. “Even if you get the correct contact details of the officials, most of the officials will not respond the calls” he said.
Repeated attempts of contact the Deputy Commissioner Sudesh Mokhta turned futile as his number was switched off. Officers at the district headquarters told that his number is switched off from last two days as they were also trying to contact him. It was learnt that he had left for Shimla two days back for a meeting and since then his official number was not accessible. With tough terrains, Chamba district has five assembly constituencies and one Lok-Sabha constituency. This district is also known for maintaining well documented history since 500 AD. It is located around 350 KMs from hill capital Shimla.
